My journey from constant busyness to living authentically

Losing myself in the busyness and chasing the next thing

Since I remember, I was constantly on the go. My days were overflowing with people to see, places to be, things to do. I prided myself on being busy - it gave me a sense of purpose and achievement. 


But in my quest to keep moving, I never developed a connection with myself. I didn’t hear my body’s signals. I would feel tired or tense or just “off” but ignore it and keep moving on. I confused feeling wired and scattered with feeling alive and energised. 


I thought this busyness is what a fulfilling life should look like

I sought out intensity in everything I was doing - late nights socialising, pushing myself hard during exercise - to cover up any unpleasant feelings that might surface. I was constantly busy as my mind was. 

In chasing the next thing, I lived life with little depth, just skimming the surface. Following the life as everyone else was living.

This changed when I discovered mindfulness, breathwork, meditation and other practices that showed me how to slow down, turn within, and connect deeply with myself. I realised that not a thrill was my favourite feeling, but peace. 


In stillness, I accessed inner wisdom that had been drowned out by all the noise. I connected to unhealed emotions in my body and began clearing them, peeling all the layers of unworthiness and self doubt. I started nurturing myself instead of driving myself to exhaustion.


Quieting my mind allowed me to discover my purpose and let my heart to lead. I got clarity about my values, passions, and purpose. I started hearing my inner voice guiding me towards a liberated life filled with meaning.

The journey continues, but my days feel fuller when living slower, consciously with purpose. I learned how to quiet my mind and connect to the body. This is the liberation I want for you too.
